I cannot find one step in the instructions to confirm permission to show a movie. What am I missing?

I have used the instructions provided AND google searched a video which reflects the same as written. I'm logged in, located the correct movie and am scrolling down (and the instructions say) to "company credits" to make the next move, however "company credits" doesn't appear on my screen. Here's the page I'm viewing. Please help be figure out what I'm missing. I am trying to verify the children's Christmas movie, The Star, is allowed for showing in our church. Thank you.

Under Details, you can click Production Companies to see all company credits. Or use the menu at the top.

I'm not sure which instructions you are referring to.

@Peter_pbn Thank you. The instructions are those given to me thru our CVLI license. I'm still searching but may have found something. Again, thank you!

Christel: First of all, the Company Credits page for The Star (2017) can be found at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4587656/companycredits

However, since you are trying to show this film in church, you would be looking for a nontheatrical public performance film license. And if you are in the USA, most nontheatrical film licensing is done through one of two companies: Swank Motion Pictures (https://www.swank.com/) or Criterion Pictures USA (https://www.criterionpicusa.com/).

And after checking both websites, I found that Swank handles the nontheatrical licensing for The Star:

https://www.swank.com/religious-organizations/details/53240-the-star

So I would recommend contacting Swank directly through their website or by phone. In fact, even if you are not in the USA, you may want to contact them to see if they can direct you to the appropriate licensing company in your country.

Thank you both. We do have the CVLI license and I was using their instructions to see if showing this movie is permitted under that license.  In their instructions, they reference going to IMDb.com and following steps, which I've done before and had no issue. One of the places steps direct me to "company credits", which for some reason this time, that isn't appearing and thus I can't follow thru to the next steps. I have called and left voice messages with CVLI for a call back and have yet to receive one. This is odd also, because they've gotten back to me in the past. But I'll look into Swank website to see if I can approach it from another angel. Many thanks.

Christel: Thank you for the clarification regarding CVLI. (For context to other IMDb contributors and staff, that's https://us.cvli.com/ and the instructions being referenced are at https://us.cvli.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2021/10/1CVL-IMDb-Title-Check-2021-wTV.pdf .) I will try to keep it in mind if we get any similar questions here, which has occasionally happened in the past.

I note that Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment are included in the CVLI "Total Producer Package", but with an asterisk saying "*Please note that Sony Pictures Entertainment, Columbia Pictures & Tristar Pictures excludes Affirm Films, Provident Films & Sherwood Pictures."

And, unfortunately to report, the first Company Credit for The Star says:

So you may have to go through Swank to license this movie.

Good luck!
