Help me identify film clip in "A Simple Plan"

The last time I did this went well, so I decided to try my luck again. Could anyone identify the movie playing on the TV in this scene from A Simple Plan? It's clearly some kind of war movie, I'm guessing from the 50s at the latest. It's most likely a Paramount film like A Simple Plan is. The least somebody could do is identify the actors in pictures 2 and 3.
