Early 70’s film about crime busting team who wear time- travel devices on their belts

Plot is about a team of cops / trouble shooters who wear time travel device belts to go forward backward (often just a few minutes) to change the outcome of the case they are trying to solve. I was only about 4 when I saw part of this but in my mind’s eye it had the look and feel of the TV series ‘Mission Impossible’.
