Comedy movie, likely 90s, maybe 80s

I so sorry, but I don't have a ton of details, but it's absolutely driving me bonkers. The quote from the movie is something very similar to "First he said he loved me, then he took it back." This line keeps getting repeated in this scene. The person can't believe what's going on. I can see hand gestures, like moving showing one part of the sentence on one side, and the other part of the sentence on the other side of the person, expressing disbelief. Now, I can remember this in a man's voice, but it doesn't make logical sense that way, so I'm guessing it's actually a woman saying 'he' loves, not a man saying 'she' loves. I can also hear it in an accent. It's been on the tip of my tongue for at least 2 months, torturing me.
