Children’s movie with yellow character in costume

Hi there,

I’m looking for the title of a children’s movie from the 80s or early 90s that contains a character in a yellow costume that is a rectangle shape. At one point, the character is feeling sick and has a thermometer in its mouth. The movie contained a mix of human characters and characters in costumes. I watched the movie on VHS.
