British female agent in France during WWII, captured, her cyanide pill is fake, and she figures out she's been set up by her own agency
WWI female British spy sent into France. Radio operator. Every time she left England to go over a cyanide capsule would be put in the heel of her shoe. She was captured. One scene of her hanging upside down with her feet tied to a rope across a dining room of mansion being used by Nazis. She is thrown into cell, and a few days later the local contact (a plain man whom she fell in love with) was thrown into the cell, dead. She took the cyanide capsule from her show, chewed it and lay across him, holding him. The capsule didn't work, and she realizes she'd been set up by her own agency. Ends up in a camp. Movie ends with liberation, and she is walking with other prisoners as a well-dressed man walks amongst them looking at faces. He finds her. It's her the agent from her home-base agency that she has trusted. He tries to get her to talk to him. She gives him a blank stare of hatred, contempt. Then she turns her face away from him and the other half of her face is scared from forehead to chin obliterating one eye. I think this movie was made in the 80's or very early 90's. I saw it on television. I don't think it was ever in cinemas.
