A name of a TV series

I’m looking for the name of a TV series. I believe it has been recenlty released. It’s probably on Netflix, HBOmax or Amazon Prime.

The story in the first episode:
A young woman (I believe Japanese or half Japnaese half American) is flying to most likely Japan for her father’s funeral. When she arrives to her father’s appartment she finds out that he had another family, a wife and a son. Her father was researching something and she soon starts working with her half-brother to figure out what their father was researching. They visit his office and find a lot of documents, maps, papers, etc.
At some point we see a flashback to before the father’s death. There has been some kind of disaster (distroyed buildings) in USA where the young woman normaly lives. The young woman is seen around a temporary camp for the people affected by the disaster. She is looking for her father. Her father shows up, talks to her and then leaves in a hury.
We also see another flashback to even more in the past. A group of people is seen climbing down ropes to a place underground. One of them, a young Japanese women seems to be in charge. At some point the rocks and soil start to crack and fall but the women insists on continuing the research. I’m not 100% sure about this part but I believe that they find some objects and they call them eggs.
