A movie from the 1920's?

Good Afternoon. I am looking for a movie that I saw in the early 60's this movie was very old at the time. THere were planes that had an extra prop in each wing alowing the plane to hover. People would go from one plane to another. I think it was about a love story where a man loved a woman that was above his grade and he was unable to marry her. THey would meet in the sky on the planes. Any assistancwe would be greatly apreciated. THanks Ray.
