A missing scene from Cousins, the 1989 remake of Cousin Cousine

I saw Cousins, with Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini, years ago. I liked that movie very much. I recently watched it again, via DVD, and was surprised that my favorite scene was not in the DVD. The scene: about 3/4 through the film Ted and Isabella are together in a sailboat enjoying being together on the water. It is a medium shot from the side showing them huddled together as the boat slides through the water. This is not the shot at the end of the film, where the camera is shooting from the stern as the boat, loaded with Ted and Isabella and their kids, is sailing off into the distance. So, did I fantasize that scene, or was it cut after the first run of the movie? Anybody? Anybody?

I can't seem to find any info. about this.

Did you see the original French film as well, and if so, is it possible that your mind is conflating the two?

(It happens more often that you might realise, see the work of Elizabeth Loftus, and see it in action in the case of the so-called "Mandela Effect")

I did see the original French movie, but no, I am quite sure my missing scene is from the more recent film. Thanks for your suggestion.
