1940's or earlier short

In the 1950's I used to see an amusing short film on TV from time to time. As I recall, there is an unseen narrator moving through a house, questioning various party goers about some secret or mystery. In the end the secret is merely a recipe. That's my best recollection of this short film. As a young child I found it quite funny and was always pleased when I watched it on TV. I've searched the Internet and, many years ago, the IMDB forum trying to track it down. Does anyone have an idea about this? I've been thinking about it for many, many years without finding anything . . .

Unfortunately, without more specific details or a title, it can be challenging to identify the exact short film you are referring to. However, I can offer some general advice on how to potentially track it down:

Film Archives: Reach out to film archives or libraries in your area and ask if they have any information on short films from the 1950s that match your description. They might be able to assist you in finding it or suggest other resources. To get the latest information about internet and call packages please visit.

Social Media and Forums: Try posting your description on film-related forums, subreddits, or social media groups dedicated to classic films. Someone with a similar memory might recognize the film and provide more information.

Old TV Show Collections: Look for collections of old TV shows or short films from the 1950s on DVD or online streaming platforms. Some platforms specialize in curating classic content that might include the film you remember.

Film Enthusiast Communities: Engage with film enthusiast communities, where individuals with a passion for classic cinema might be able to help you identify the film.

Remember that memories from childhood can sometimes be hazy or influenced by time, so the details you remember might not be entirely accurate. Keep an open mind and be prepared for some variations in the plot or description. Good luck in your search!
