You have mixed up two actors

Thank you so much, Grayson and I’d be very grateful if your friendly Champions did sort it out. There are two actors here. I will concentrate on Bob Behling. 
I have now looked at the birth and death and school and veterans records for Bob ( he was in the US Navy from 1965 to 1969).

Bob Behling was born in Pasco, Franklin, Washington on 16 June. 1944.

He died in Athens, Greece on 14 November 1977.

He made 3 films, both in Greece. Indeed he did not return to the USA after 1973.

He played Tom Gifford in The Devil’s Men in 1976

He played Nick Vitalis in The Hook in 1976 (also known as To Agistri) directed by Erricos Andreou

He played Christopher/ brother in Island of Death directed by Nikos Mastorakis in 1976.

All the other film credits you have at IMDb are for an American actor called Robert Behling who has the Ohio birth and death dates.

The photographs reveal two utterly unlike actors.

There is a particularly nasty bit of trivia on a related IMDb site that quotes Mastorakis saying Bob swallowed propane pipe. He did indeed take his own life after many years struggling with depression.

So yes, a photo of the actor you knew would be helpful.

You said more than once that some photos somewhere on IMDb were _not_ of this actor.

You'll need to be specific about where those photos can be found.

I'm asking, because it'll contribute to the decision whether to move the 3 movies to a new page, or move the other credits to a new page and alter the birth/death dates.

Also, the credits you name each have attribute (as Bob Behling) or (as Bob Belling). 

There are 2 other, older credits with that same designation. Are you sure those don't belong to him? Naked in the Snow (1974) and Lust for Sex (1970).

You are right. I hadn’t checked Naked in the Snow and Lust for Sex. They are both by my friend Bob Behling. Basically he made dodgy films in Greece and Robert Behling made films in the USA.

I can’t find a verifiable picture of Robert Behling but do see that you have pix of Bob against his name on Robert’s films such as The Enforcer.
