FTII Pune, Rajendra Jaspal, who played the role of Samita Patil's husband in Shyam Benegal's film 'Manthan', fled the film
industry in Mumbai after stabbing his friend Naseeruddin Shah.

and producer of the film is Dr. Jagmail bhathuan and Dr. Ravinder Kaur Ravi, Music by Ishant Pandit and director is Ravinder Ravi
Samana. Naseeruddin, in his autobiography 'And Then One Day' written in
English, recounts bittersweet memories of Jaspal . Naseer saying that he was
saved by Om Puri when Jaspal attacked me in Mumbai.
