Wrongly deleted frame from an episode
This submission #251019-121934-373902 was rejected over not complying with guidelines, as it has happened many years before in the last few years. When I asked for it to be accepted as I was instructed in the past a long time ago, not only it was rejected again, but they deleted the pic, saying it was a selfie and selfies are not allowed. It is NOT a selfie, it is a frame from the actual episode this image belongs to where, in this case, the actor is recording himself in a mirror while delivering a comedic parodic skit. That is not a selfie and the decision to delete it was completely wrong. For context, this has been happening very frequently, as far as I remember like at least once a week for at least the last like five years. This is a comedic show released on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other online platforms where the protagonist very often records himself with his camera, which could be his phone, or a professional camera he's holding depending on the episode, while delivering his skits, or singing snippets of songs, etc, alone or with other performers, in mini episodes that are usually released three times a week. If this kind of frames were forbidden, then that would mean no frame from any "found footage" film or show, like Blair Witch Project and others, would be allowed. I know the guidelines, I've been collaborating with IMDb for 22 years now, and I think that's not the intention of this guideline in particular. This is what I said years ago when it first happened both when I directly contacted them and also in this same forum, and back then they agreed with me. I was told one of the times I contacted them directly for help that due to the nature of these images that actually look so similar to a selfie, this mistake was bound to happen very often, so they instructed me to make the petition in the help form every time it happened explaining the situation so it could be approved manually. Usually this works, but this time, the reviewer acted differently, despite explaining the situation exactly the same as in the last few years, and not only they did not add the name as I asked, but they deleted the image altogether, leaving the episode with no primary image. I hope this can be reverted because I think this has been an honest mistake on their part and the image should not have been deleted.
