Wrong Rating Showing

On my phone some of the ratings at the top will say PG when the movie is rated R. My wife's phone shows the right ratings though. Also by the parent's guide it shows the correct ratings.

You are using an Android app.

Which version#?

For instance, I have 8.2.4.10 on Android 9.

Can you provide example(s) of title(s) that show the wrong maturity certificate?

Interesting.

Here's what I see:

And according to the desktop version:

You mentioned your wife's phone shows the correct certificate.

What OS does her phone run?

Same OS version. But I just realized she was looking through Google Chrome and not the app. That would explain why hers is different than mine.

And what does _your_ phone show if you use a browser instead of the app?

Looking at this page

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111503/parentalguide

I see that Manitoba, Canada and Singapore have PG certificates for this film.

Would your phone look like it's in either of those countries? Or have you set your preferences to either of those locations?

Through the browser on IMDB.com it shows as rated R for me. It's set to us my location but it did show up for Amazon.ca under watch preferences and under Region it had Canada. I think this is on the right track. But for now still showing up as PG for now though.

Hi @DavidK

Now that your region has been updated, has the certification rating updated to reflect the US rating?

It still shows the incorrect Maturity Rating. Thought it might be something weird with my ISP but it reads the same when I use my phone data as well.

I agree, I've tried to change the rating for Jessica Jones https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2357547/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 as for some reason it says "13+" for Canada, which is obviously not the actual rating. It is TV-MA. Same thing for Harley Quinn https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7658402/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3 which is also TV-MA. But when I submitted these changes, they weren't accepted. I have no idea why and they should be accepted as they are the ACTUAL ratings of these titles and parents should not think that these titles are appropriate for the kids! They'll especially be misled by Harley Quinn, since it's an animated series!
