Would IMDB like to be the primary website for people attending the Toronto Film Festival?
You could skyrocket traffic for your TIFF 2024 page if you would make the movies filterable by program and include some additional data for the entries.
What people want to know right away about each movie without having to open multiple pages:
- The distributor (so you know if it’s a streaming movie)
- The release date (so you know if it’s coming out right after the festival)
- The country (filterable)
- The language (filterable)
- Whether or not the movie has user reviews, critic reviews, or metacritic reviews -- with links if they do.
I’ve been to the festival 26 times, and this is the information that people need to have as readily available as possible when deciding what to watch out of the 300+ options. If you make these modifications, everybody will be doing their research here instead of at TIFF’s website or Letterboxd.
To see a dream application for perusing festival data, go to TIFF 2008 planner. If you can duplicate this functionality, your site will be the go-to destination for festival attendees from now on.
