Wide case investigation needed into IMDb entry?
I just came across this entry today, the details of which are submitted by his agent: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1960375
It came to my notice when I saw him listed as appearing in this episode of Wogan: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0749915/reference
The end of the episode is available on YouTube and he is NOT credited as part of it. However, I've left it for now, as I suspect he MAY be the gatecrasher in the episode, in which case his entry should be updated, if only to include "uncredited". But, without the full facts in archive newspapers, I've left it for now.
But I see he has a LOT of credits, including one for a show called Ghost Hunters. I got the series, and, wouldn't you know it, the one where he's listed as a writer has the credits chopped off at the end. Oh well.
But then there's a credit for the League of Gentlemen episode "A Plague on Royston Vasey", which lists "acknowledgment". There's no acknowledgement on this episode, except for a credit at the end which gives a thanks to the "people of Hadfield, High Park, Derbyshire". Is that REALLY the credit that's being cited? Do I then look for "thanks" to my home town and add myself onto the IMDb with star billing?
I've placed this here as I don't have time right now to do a full investigation and this kind of thing should be fair, and accurate. But there's a lot of information on that profile where the info, IMO, isn't quite adding up.
Oh - not particularly germane to the discussion, but I put in a delete request (accepted) for his "official website" as it's no longer online, and can only be sourced via the Wayback Archive.
