why the lack of information?
First off, let me say I really enjoy IMDB and do not want to be critical of it. However, today is the 12th March. A new detective show starts in the UK in 3 days time called GRACE. When looking for info re this show on the usually very reliable IMDB, it states that "Because this project is categorized as in development, the data is only available on IMDbPro and is subject to change." My question is this. Am I being completely cynical to think that this is simply an attempt to get us to join IMDB pro, or has someone just dropped the ball with this particular show?

Hi, imdjb. If it would please you, then you're more than welcome to inquire about specific projects, in the hopes of receiving an answer from somebody who does have access to information exclusive to IMDbPro. In my humble opinion and experience, customers/contributors are more likely to provide that kind of information than IMDb employees, so it might be fair to believe that no incentive exists for the IMDb company do certain things that relieve people of the need or desire to sign up for IMDbPro, meaning paying for access. The site literature does generally make it clear that the premium service is intended to accommodate industry professionals.
I sure do hope that Col Needham, the founder of IMDb and its chief executive officer, would choose to provide an answer on this one, as sometimes he does take the care to inform people that IMDbPro isn't needed to access certain features or do certain things.
