Why not tell us that a review has been declined?
At the weekend, I watched Scoop about Prince Andrew's interview with Emily Maitlis. It was declined. Why, I have no idea and blandly informing us declinees that 'it does not meet "submission guidelines" ' is more than pointless: how are we to know that boundary we crossed so that we can edit our reviews and submit them again.
Within minutes of submitting a review, we are emailed to inform that our contribution has been received. This will be an automatic response. So why not set up a similar automatic response to the contributor when the button is pushed and the delinquent review is sent to Room 101. At least we could then go about editing - sanitizing - the review sooner rather than later.
Give it a thought.
