Why it takes so long till Photos get approven?
Till some days ago it took some minutes till a photo got approven. Now photos are waiting nearly 36 hours to get approven, nothing happens, all are missing the last thing. An example of many:

I can see that these images have already been approved and are live on the site.
In regards to our processing times, we try our best to process all images in a timely manner, however, in some cases it may take a few days for new images to be posted. We appreciate your patience.

Long processing times for images seem to lead to a lot of duplication. When the images are processed, could they not be checked for duplicates?
