Why can't users self submit follows, followed by, Connections?

Why is there not a choice for Prequel Of/To? If let's say a user edits title A and says "B is a prequel of A".. well then automatically B would get a [Connections] link saying Prequel To: A .. this works either direction, too! Case in point, Yellowstone series came out, then its prequel 1883, then another prequel for Yellowstone, 1923 came out, which then would show too a prequel of 1883. I think "prequel of" and "prequel to" mean the same thing. The wording would have to be something like "Prequel" and "Prequel of" (similar to "spin off"/"spin off from"). Currently "follows"/"followed by" can include sequels and prequels, with the order based on release order. ..and btw the Contact Us form mentioned above goes to the wrong place, might be a dead link.. I go into an endless loop or to a form to make a legal dept copyright claim! It worked for me. The link in the guide is even better because it's a direct link that selects the relevant options in the contact form.

The option to do such a thing in the submission form was removed back in either 2016, 2017 or 2018. I don't remember exactly when. Never was a clear explanation provided, but that these kinds of movie connections are regarded as "complex", perhaps due to how the condition of preceding or following is supposed to be inherited automatically, e.g. the sequel to a sequel being a sequel to an original, thus forming a chain.

Great responses. You know what would definitely clear up the nomenclature? Instead of prequel of, prequel by, prequel to, Has prequel called, prequel, followed by follows etc- the nomenclature could just be, "This Came Out Before..." And After  .. and also, "Prequels" and "Postquels" to be fun and instead of follows and followed by. My two cents.
