Why can't I delete these?
I was looking at the 'connections' section of a movie that I just watched. Someone had included as 'references' five other titles that had no connection to this movie except that they were about the same subject matter. The reason I gave for deleting them was "Two titles being about the same subject matter is not a reference".
Of course the only reason I was given for rejecting the deletion was "We have been unable to verify your contribution..." as per usual.
How do I delete 'references' such as these that are not references?

There is another reference that I tried to delete on this title that was rejected as well. A submitter included "Scarface" as a reference because the term "ye-yo" was used in both movies, but "ye-yo" is just Spanish slang.
