Why are my submissions for voice actors with "Additional Voices" being rejected despite providing evidence?

I'm trying to submit the voice cast for a project I'm working on, and the only actors I've had rejected are those with "Additional Voices" in their credits. Whenever I try to submit it as, for example, "Bill/Ted/Additional Voices" with "(voice)" in the attribute section it gets rejected, despite uploading their contracts as evidence. The three actors I'm having trouble with are spread between two contributions, of which the 18-digit numbers are:

  • #230327-202947-006000
  • #230324-211007-877000

What am I doing wrong? I assume it's something to do with "Additional Voices" since everyone else I've submitted got approved without an issue.

The way you write would be considered correct, and with (voice) listed in the attribute section.

The issue may just be lack of evidence if you did not supply any as it sounds like the project is not yet released.

Best thing to do if you have had submissions declined is to post those 18 digit numbers, which can be found on this page at the top of your submission: https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history

and then a staff member can take a look and advise you when they get to this thread.

Hi @RyanMatejka -

Please keep in mind our guidelines state:

Additional Voice credits are permitted for animated titles or video games as long as they are listed within, or immediately after, the main cast list.

You provided a contract as proof but that does not help our editors verify where they are listed, please resubmit with the credits as evidence. Also know if they are not listed the credit is still eligible but has to be listed as Additional (Other) Crew.

Cheers!

@Bethanny Thank you for clearing that up! Considering the project is in development, does this mean that I cannot credit those actors for "Additional Voices" until after the project is released?

If that is the case, could I still submit them for the named characters they voice in the meantime? Or perhaps submit them for "unannounced" roles until the project is released? I'd really like to get them listed on the project ASAP.

Thank you again!

Ryan: If the person is playing the roles of Bill, Ted, and additional voices, just enter their character name as "Bill/Ted" and leave out the additional voices for now.

@gromit82 This sounds like a great solution!
