When you wake up and over 70% of your credits are gone

They should not be deleted in the first place it should be moved over, thats half a decade of titles gone overnight. It took me an hour and a half just to compile the logs to resubmit for 5 of the 70 some shows. 

@VanBarrJr​ I agree. But unfortunately, IMDB doesn't have an easy way for the average user to move credits from one area to another. And I don't think the average user will always be willing to remove credits from the wrong location AND add them to the right one.

The average user should not be able to delete 3/4's of my resume, over night without warning

But IMDB, like Wikipedia, is maintained by the default user. I've been dedicated to updating the Dragon Ball page and I'm currently updating the Pokémon Horizons page; without the default user, I imagine the site would be much less updated than it is now.

Even so, the user can't simply delete information from IMDB. They can request its removal, and then it needs to be approved. In this case, it was probably approved because the credits should have been under "Voice Actor - Dubbing" instead of "Cast".

If it's a legacy credit it should be transitioned properly, I only have just over a 100 credits imagine people with 500 plus? This rollout has been terrible

I agree. Other categories have been moved to the correct locations. I don't know why voice actors didn't receive the same treatment.

The addition of the category is great, especially for non-English speakers, but I think they could have moved the credits to the correct location or at least provided a tool to make it easier for users.

The same thing happened to me when I was checking my credits this evening, I am super upset and just trying to get my credits back or resubmitted. I am glad I am not alone on this, I hope something is done soon to fix our hard earned credits!

@ConlinRei​ In your case, was it also dubbing work that was removed? Were there any works removed where you appeared on screen or provided the original voice?

@DuraNext​ It was just my dubbing work that was removed, no other titles like my gaming or animation credits removed. I suspect the site wants to transition VO's to have their direct dub credits listed under 'dubbing' but it's still a bit surprising that they would outright remove the credits entirely.

As I said before, IMDB works with user contributions. Now that there's a specific area for dubbing, someone can request the removal of credits that are in the wrong place, and IMDB will probably accept it because if they're claiming it's in the wrong place, it really is.

But if in both cases the deleted credits were only those related to dubbing, I think it's safe to say that the change is due to those credits no longer belonging to the "cast" area but to the "voice actor - dubbing" area.

I see, I've reapplied for all my credits and got (most) of them back so far in the new dubbing area at the least, so hopefully I can get all of them back to where they belong in the new section!

I'm glad you were able to resolve this issue. I hope the remaining credits will be accepted soon.
