What proof is needed to get a credit added?

I know of someone who has a credit for a movie that was submitted by a fan.  She is not seen in this movie, she is not heard in this movie and she isn't even a member of SAG.  So I'm wondering what proof was used to give her this credit?

Hi jdmc2112-

In order to get filmography credits added and for our editors to verify the information, additional supporting evidence needs to be submitted within the contribution. Depending whether the person is credited on screen or not, there are different types of evidence that can be submitted. For example:

  • Screengrabs when credited on screen (credit roll)
  • If the title is unreleased or the person is not listed in the end credits: call sheets, receipts, contracts, third party news articles, amongst others...

For more detailed information on credit verification, you are welcome to review the following help guide How to submit supporting evidence for casting credit verifications?

Now if there is an incorrect credit, a deletion request can be submitted through our online Update form as well. However, supporting evidence needs to be provided as well for our editors to review.

Let us know if you have any further questions/issues!

Cheers!

@Maya For the movie It's Complicated, there is a credit for Shanelle Riccio.  It appears under where it says Rest of cast listed alphabetically and she is listed first and it doesn't even say what her role in the movie was.  Whatever evidence was used to give her this credit was falsified and in my opinion never properly vetted.  If someone were to go to YouTube and go to The Star Vehicle Podcast channel and go to S2 E3 The Holiday, between the 4:30 mark and 6 minute mark is where she talks about how her credit for It's Complicated is false.

I'm just hoping this credit can get deleted.

Thank You

@Maya I would like to know what evidence was given to make this credit factually accurate.

I would love to know what " evidence " there is to my credit on West Side story 2022 as I never worked on it and IMDB don't believe me!

@jdmc2112 Hi!

Have you tried submitting a deletion with a link to the mentioned podcast?

@Bethanny Hi Bethanay. I sort of did that because I clipped out that segment of the podcast and put a link to it in the reason why it should be deleted.  I'll try again by putting a link to the whole podcast.
