What length should IMDB indicate for a miniseries when episode lengths vary?

A friend has suggested a correction to the entry on the miniseries The Roads to Freedom (1970).  He says the current length of "50m" is wrong because the lengths of the episodes vary and none of them are longer than 45:02.  He says they total to 559m and average out as 42:59 per episode.

If anyone knows what the policy is and how to apply it, feel free to submit the appropriate correction.

Hi bill_davis_dqr51abk5b0qq-

This is our policy for this, you might find it helpful to answer your question, but basically we would consider it a miniseries if it has 2-4 episodes.

Cheers!

@Bethanny My question had nothing to do with its status as a miniseries.  My question was about what IMDB should indicate about the length of episodes when the episodes are varied and the current length is inaccurate.

@bill_davis_dqr51abk5b0qq Sorry for the misunderstanding, in that case @Peter_pbn 's answer is correct.

Cheers!

Running time guidelines are here, though I feel that they could be clearer on exactly this question.

Each episode's length can be added to each episode.

The full series length can be added with the attribute "entire series".

But should there be a per-episode length on the series page even if it can only be approximate?

A common attribute for runtimes is "approx.", perhaps "average" would also be accepted.

I guess the 50 min length may be based on the programme slot, but it could probably be corrected to 43.
