What are IMDB rules regarding liking your own reviews?

Hello IMDB and IMDB community,

In my travels over the years on IMDb I have noticed several users/reviewers whose reviews garner dozens and dozens of positive likes within minutes of their being posted to very quickly propel them to the top, or near the top, reviewer stop.

In my very strong opinion, they are voting for their own reviews. I am not sure how often this has been discussed and I apologize if this has been over-discussed, but seeing that the behavior is tolerated or accepted I wondered why.

I am sure there are many I do not see or know about of course, but here are a few samples I personally have noticed.

Appreciate your elaboration.

Hi coleman55372 -

We currently only calibrate "1" Helpful Review vote per User Review, per registered account.  As such, we do allow users to vote on their reviews one time, they cannot add more than one Helpful Review vote on their own reviews.

Cheers!
