Weird situation with “reference-to-“ and other keywords

“Ace in the Hole” is on my "best films ever” list. Just watched it again on TCM, and tried to add some keywords.  Interestingly, “reference-to-“ keywords were denied (along with some other keywords) and “reference-to-“ keywords were deleted by staff without my submission. (One deletion I remember is “reference-to-yogi-berra.”)  I can only wonder: Is some staffer attacking ”reference-to-“ keywords? Being supercilious about “Ace in the Hole”? And, if so: Why?
