Watchmen WGA locked writing credits are out of order and incomplete

The WGA locked writing credits for Watchmen are out of order, incomplete and an uncredited writer which is disallowed per IMDb rules. The should be:

Dave Gibbons (based on the graphic novel co-created by) 1,1,1

David Hayter (screenplay by) 2,1,1

Alex Tse (screenplay by) 2,2,1

Alan Moore's credit should be removed per IMDb rules. "The WGA furnishes credits directly to IMDb for the projects for which they control credits. We do not accept uncredited writers for these projects." (And, yes, I know that Moore was the driving force behind Watchmen.)

I see locked WGA writing credits quite often, and by that I mean INCORRECT/WRONG locked writing credits. What is wrong usually has one or more credits missing, but also sometimes with incorrect attributes, or without attributes altogether, or wrong in other ways. I just give up and move on, because why fight City Hall, even if City Hall is corrupt?

This is just another example of arbitrary rules or "rulings" by IMDb. In this case, IMDb is farming out decision making to another organization, the WGA, which might not have the same goals (accuracy vs. politics or royalties). It is not much different than "crew believed to be complete," which is also often wrong. In both cases, I would not be looking at it if it was not wrong, that is why I came there, to make changes or additions.

IMDb is more than happy to fix these WGA locked credits when presented with screenshots of the actual credits. I find mostly they are just incomplete, i.e. "screenplay" instead of "screenplay by" or "novel" instead of "based upon the novel by", and frequently in the wrong order. Just search any of the numerous "WGA locked" threads I've created. I've gotten 5 or so fixed this week.

This week, I've noticed two uncredited writers which are against the WGA and IMDb rules. I'm not sure how those happened since IMDb enters these credits based on information from the WGA.

I don't think that I've ever seen a missing writer who was credited onscreen and I watch a lot of movies!

Either it should be right or they should not do it at all. We do not get paid, and we should not have to prove that what we are seeing is correct just because someone else is not doing their job correctly. Just my opinion...

We all donate our time. Most of the stuff in IMDb is crowd sourced. I'm not sure that people who work for IMDb do basic data entry. This is how I waste my time. The neverending battle to correct WGA credits. (I have no idea why we cannot submit them, with pictures, through the regular submission system. They could reject any submission without proof.)

Also, you cannot just take people's word on this. Too much bogus information already exists in IMDb where they don't require proof.
