No Status

Vienna Blood has no season 2

Hello,

Not sure how to get this corrected by Vienna Blood TV show is listed as having two seasons here https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9179616/

Upon review of each episode listed in each season I can see they have different names but are in fact the same episodes from first season list in second season with different names. Synopsis reveals the same plot.

Is there a way to correct this and remove season 2 essentially?

Additionally season 1 was released at the end of 2019 not 2020, I can't see how to edit this either, any clues?

TV Time lists the correct episodes and dates https://www.tvtime.com/en/show/372031

Thanks,

Jasmin

There is indeed something wrong. The storylines of episodes 1.3, 2.2, and 2.3 are for the same episode

However it has been reported in July of last year that there would be a season 2 of this most excellent show.

Unfortunately I haven't seen any update since then.

As for the airing dates, I see that they have been corrected

I believe the problem stems from how the series was released  in the US and a few other countries (incl. Australia).  Instead of the three 90 minute episodes it was released as six 45 mins (approx) eps. In Australia the second 3 eps were initially listed as series 2 but have since been corrected on the streaming platform and now only show as one series https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/program/vienna-blood

pascal-kay is right - there will be a season 2 and will air sometime in 2021.  https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/vienna-blood-season-two-release-date/

Maybe they consider that the attention span is shorter in those countries, especially on PBS with 45 minutes non stop without any commercial break LOL

Not sure about that.  We get plenty of other series that aren't released split like that.  Van der Valk and Wallander (original & UK versions) are the first that spring to mind.  They aired each episode in their entirety (90 mins).

So what is the process to get something like this corrected on IMDB? Is there a process?

The season 2 plots can probably be deleted in the edit feature.

The episodes should probably stay. I'm not sure if the episode titles might be accurate, but they can be corrected once more is known.

I've put requests in now to delete the plots of season 2 episodes with details of the problem. Hopefully it gets sorted out.

With the new season out now everything seems to be corrected.
