Verification Assistance Request – Attachment to A Caliente Christmas

Hello IMDb Editorial Team,

I’m reaching out regarding submission #260504-182134-769000.

We are currently in pre-production on a holiday rom-com titled A Caliente Christmas, and I am serving as producer on the project. We’ve successfully secured an attachment with Chris Parnell, and have submitted this update, multiply times, through the proper channels. However, the contribution has been declined due to “unable to verify the information provided.”

To support the submission, we included:

  • Direct correspondence from Mr. Parnell’s representation confirming his involvement and enthusiasm for the project
  • A published online article referencing his attachment

For additional context, we’ve successfully submitted and had other cast attachments approved for this project using comparable forms of verification. That’s why we want to ensure we’re aligning properly with IMDb’s requirements in this case.

Given the credibility of both sources, we’re trying to understand what additional verification IMDb requires in this case. This update is important for us, as visible attachments on IMDb materially support our ongoing casting and packaging efforts. Having accurate, up-to-date information reflected on the title helps us move the project forward with other talent and partners.

Could you please advise on what specific documentation or format would meet your verification standards so we can resolve this quickly?

Appreciate your time and guidance on this.

@Maya

Hello Maya,

Thank you for the reply.

I’ve reviewed the Help Guide, and I want to clarify that the evidence we submitted appears to already meet the criteria outlined for unreleased titles.

Specifically, our submission included:

  • A third-party news/article source referencing Chris Parnell’s attachment
  • A screenshot of direct correspondence from his representation confirming his involvement in the project

Based on IMDb’s own guidelines, these fall under the acceptable forms of evidence for third-party submitted uncredited roles.

Given that, could you please help us understand what specifically was insufficient about the materials provided? If there is a particular requirement or format we’re missing, we’re happy to address it immediately.

For context, we’ve successfully had other cast attachments for this same project approved using comparable documentation, which is why we’re trying to pinpoint what differs in this case.

We’re keen to resolve this quickly, as having Chris Parnell accurately listed on the project is important for our ongoing casting and packaging efforts.

Appreciate your help in clarifying.

@PastaLaVistaBaby - You're welcome!

The staff was not able to verify the information with the evidence provided. We suggest to provide additional/further supporting evidence for example: signed contracts mentioning their name or any mentions within the media of the role on the production from reputable third-party sources.
