Using IMDB photos
My local theater is showing a 1939 movie - Back Door To Heaven. I'm asking if I can use a few pics from the film on Facebook to promote the special showing? Is it sufficient to give IMDB and Paramount Pictures credit for copyright?

Gomez: IMDb doesn't own the copyright to any of these photos, so IMDb can't grant you permission to use them. IMDb only has permission to use the pictures on its own website, not to license them to anyone else.
The distributor/licensor who provides the film to the theater should be able to advise you as to what photos you can use for promotional purposes and where.
