User Review Ratings/Feedback
I notice that some feedback of my user reviews as "helpful" or "not helpful" has disappeared over the past two weeks. I have been reviewing for about five years or so, and this is the first time that feedback numbers have been subtracted rather than added. Does anyone know the reason for this? Did the people responding to my reviews withdraw their responses? Did they change their minds? Did IMDb determine that some of the feedback was duplicated from the same person? Most often, feedback that did NOT consider a review helpful was removed from the tally. Thanks for any clarification.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Our 'helpfulness' voting system is designed to detect and defeat attempts to abuse the voting mechanism. As a result, you may occasionally see changes in the number of votes cast. Please rest assured, this is normal behavior. Our system is continually improved in this respect so you can rest assured that abuse is always automatically detected and thwarted.
We hope this addresses your concerns.
Thank you for your support.

Can you specify what abuse is? obviously, it should be the same vote twice using different account names. But beyond that is stretching the issue too much. This is the first time since I started using imdb in 2006 that i have seen votes really change. Horror Hotel receives several favorable reviews all from the same user with different names. That's Horror Hotel, the TV series.
