Use of Profanity in Reviews - #230415-220322-948204

I recently reported a review - #230415-220322-948204 - for use of profanity: the word “piss”, to be precise. IMDb has a parents’ guide, where people can be warned about profanity used within a script, but the submission guidelines are clear about use elsewhere in the page: 

“Also, please do not include the following:

• Profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks in either the body or header of your review.”

It could even be argued that, as the very first exclusion to be listed, IMDb take profanity in reviews seriously. This helps explain my disappointment that my report did not “meet submission guidelines”. Not only does it ask you to respect your own submission guidelines, but there are no guidelines for reporting offences that my comment would need to meet.

 I respectfully ask you to look again at this report, in light of your own submission guidelines, particularly the criteria highlighted above.
