Use an Existing Empty Person Page or Make a New One?
I was adding a credit for a new person and saw there was already an existing profile with the same name. There is the possibility it could have been created for them since it's a pretty uncommon name but I have no way of knowing if that's the case or not because the preexisting profile is completely blank without a single credit. Does it matter why that profile might have originally been created if it's entirely empty now or should I make a new one just to be 100% safe?

I sometimes use an existing blank page, but there are a few question marks:
Some pages without credits are associated with uncredited work which is not displayed, but would be displayed if you add a regular credit to the page. You may be able to find the uncredited work in the update form. Otherwise you could check the page after your addition is made.
A page without credits could have contact details or other data at IMDbPro which you can't see if you don't have a membership.
