Solved

"Update history" and "adding a new title" have mysteriously vanished.

I am completely unable to access my "update history" list and the "adding a new title" option.  Both seem to have mysteriously disappeared.  Although the links for both are easily locatable on the IMDb.com website, they take me directly to a blank page.

Can you please let me know what is going on, and how I can fix it?

@BlimeyCharlie We are unaware of any other reports of problems with these pages so this is likely to be a local problem for you, sorry.  Please try the steps outlined in https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/common-issues/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF and let us know how it goes.

@Col_Needham I'm sorry, but none of that seems to be working.  No matter what I do, I can't access my Contribution/Update History the way I used to.  The weird thing is, I can access some of the data (that which I have already submitted) at https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history (the "Beta" list, according to the webpage), but I also had lots of other data on my contribution list that I have not submitted yet, as it was in the process of preparation and revision (including for some projects of my own), and that is what I can't seem to find.  I would really like to sort this out and retrieve that data, *please*.

@BlimeyCharlie Any saved contributions will be in the classic (non-beta) view at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history

If this empty, please ensure you are logged in with the correct account details.

Unfortunately, that is precisely what I can't access - the link you provided simply goes to a blank page.

Do mean completely blank or is it a page with headers and footers with nothing in between?

Is the problem on a phone, a tablet, a laptop or desktop computer? What kind of system and which browser?

In the absence of any other people reporting the problem you are going to have to be actively involved in any investigation and that requires more details in order to know where to start.

It's a page with headers and footers with nothing in between.  And it's on my laptop computer.  It's on a Mac, using Safari.

I have a MacBook running macOS 13.6.1. I just tried loading my history using Safari 17.2 and it worked without any issues.

If you have "Show features for web developers" enabled (Safari/Settings.../Advanced checkbox at the bottom of the dialog) you should be able to use the "Inspect Element" in the right button menu. The "Console" tab in the inspector may have some error messages that indicate what is going wrong but I do not know what they would be so cannot suggest what to look for. If you have some errors and can capture a screenshot and post it here it may be possible to see why it is not working for you.

I'm sorry, but where is "Settings" in Safari?  I can't seem to find what you're referring to.

Happy new year, by the way!

Happy new year.

Safari 17.0 on my iMac which is running macOs Monterey 12.7 has "Preferences..." rather than "Settings...":

It is "Settings..." on the macBook which is running later versions but in the same place and with the same keyboard shortcut - Command-Comma.

That should open the preferences/settings dialog where you want the "Advanced" tab:

The checkbox at the bottom is the one you want to set.

After doing that, the right button menu should have the "Inspect Element" option:

That will open the Web Inspector - select the 'Console' tab:

That will probably show some error messages. If you can post them here it may be possible to work out which ones are significant. A screenshot (Command-Shift-4 then select the area) is probably easier than trying to capture the text and should give enough information.
