Unusual rating pattern after legitimate private screening – INDOMITO THE DRAGONFLY

Thank you very much for getting back to me.

July 13, 2026 was the date of the private screening, not the commercial or public release of the film.

The screening was attended by approximately 200 invited guests, mainly family members, friends and people close to the production, who watched the completed feature.

Following the screening, a number of attendees independently rated the film on IMDb. As many of the attendees were friends and family, I completely understand that their ratings may naturally have been particularly positive, which may also explain the unusually high concentration of 10/10 ratings within a short period of time.

However, these were real attendees who had genuinely watched the complete film, and no ratings were purchased or generated through fake accounts or voting services.

INDOMITO THE DRAGONFLY has not yet been commercially released or made available to the general public. We are currently in the international sales and distribution process.

I hope this helps clarify the unusual voting pattern following July 13.

If the July 13 date should be listed differently on IMDb because it corresponds to a private screening rather than a commercial release, please let me know and I will be happy to correct it.

@Eduluruena​ - Thank you for the information! As per our guidelines for release dates, private screenings are not considered release dates. Therefore, this release date is not eligible to be listed and has been removed.

For further information regarding Release dates, I encourage you to review our following Help Guide, and look under Exceptions for adding a release date.

Once the film is released to the public and the respective release date information is added, then the ratings & reviews will be enabled again.

Thank you very much for the clarification.

I completely understand and agree that July 13, 2026 should not be listed as an official release date, since it was only a private screening.

In that case, I would also like to ask whether it would be appropriate to remove the ratings associated with that private screening, since the film had not yet been officially released or made available to the general public.

As I explained, those ratings came mainly from friends, family members and other invited guests who attended the private screening. They genuinely watched the complete film, but I understand that this resulted in an unusual concentration of very positive ratings before the film's actual release.

If IMDb considers those pre-release ratings ineligible or inappropriate under its guidelines, I would be completely comfortable with having them removed and allowing the film's rating history to begin organically once the film receives an eligible public release.

I am not asking for the current rating to be increased or adjusted to any particular score. My preference is simply to have the cleanest and most accurate rating history possible under IMDb's guidelines.

Please let me know whether this would be the appropriate course of action.

Correct, in this case, as it is not a valid release date the ratings and reviews will be removed. The title won't be available to be rated or reviewed until a valid release date is added again. 

This information has been corrected and the changes will appear on the site once the process has completed.
