Untagging yourself from unwanted photos.
How do you get rid of unwanted photos? My friend wants to be untagged from hundreds of photos so they do not show up on his IMDB page. I went in to help and untag him but all of them were declined by IMDB staff. Please let me know how he can fix this. Also, the decline message states "unable to verify", what information do you need?
Thank you

I am trying to help an actor friend remove unwanted image tags and IMDB is just not letting him do that. He is tagged in over 250 unwanted photos and they will not let him untag himself. There needs to be an easier way to do this. He has tried to untag himself and they decline. I have tried to untag him and they decline. This is just ridiculous.

Hi chris_7159917 -
Can you post some of the 18-digit submission reference numbers associated with the recently declined image tag requests? Also, if you can confirm what specific images you are trying to untag? I understand you mentioned "hundreds", if you can clarify for example, "all images associated with title...", this will be helpful for our staff to review.
Cheers!

Hi chris_7159917 -
Just to reiterate the information Peter_pbn provided above, we cannot remove the name tag on all 267 images from the photo gallery, we may make certain rare exceptions and remove a name tag in some instances, but we cannot mass-remove for the sake of the image being associated with older work.
Since there were no issues with the images you reported, this is likely why the request to remove the name tag was declined.
If your friend wants to display newer images on their page, they can upload images from their IMDbPro account (I can see that the name page is claimed by an active membership), as adding additional images will help reduce visibility of the older images.
Cheers!
