unable to verify

I have asked for my own name to be removed from a film entry which I had nothing to do with. The request has been declined.  what verification is satisfactory? IMDb tells me to go to: "Please go to your Contribution History, re-load the submission reference and tick the box “provide an explanation to assist in processing this submission” and “check these updates”. The field will become available in the submission form. However there is no "check these updates" only "RECHECK THESE UPDATES".  I don't understand what field will become available in the submission for.  There is no submission. button. just recheck or save for later. I'm confused.  Haydn Keenan

Hi smartstreetfilms - If you are not seeing a "Submit these Updates" button within your submission form, this typically means that there is an unacknowledged Warning or missing required data field entry within your submission form that needs to be addressed before you can submit the update. If you are experiencing problems removing the credit, it's best to include evidence to help verify the change, such as screen grabs from the original title on-screen credits to show that your name is not credited on-screen, or an official website of the production showing a different person performing the role, etc. Once you resubmit the credit removal request with the additional evidence our editors will take another look. I hope this helps!

Thanks for this Michelle.  The two entries in question are a music video and a dvd extra neither of which have credit rolls at the end.  What can you suggest in cases like that?  Thanks again for your helpful comments above.  Haydn

Hi Haydn - If the titles have no -onscreen credits, then the best evidence is to include a link to the music video to help verify that you are not credited on-screen and that your role is not featured on the video.  For the DVD Extra, to clarify, are you referring to work listed for a "The Making of..." or are you referring to a credit listing on a film title under the role "DVD Extra"?

@Michelle  Thanks for this info Michelle. Problem with music video having no credits puts me in a difficult position to delete someone's name who is credited as director but had nothing to do with the video.  I cant show they are not on the credit roll. Regarding DVD extras; there are a couple of extras on a dvd for a film my company distributes.  I authored the disc and received the extras in question from the film maker.  They are things like "Interview with cinematographer", "Interview with lead actor".  I don't regard them as film productions at all, but Imdb thinks they are so what do I know.  However I had nothing to do with them. There are no credits on them and I can't work out why IMDb will not accept me personally saying I had nothing to do with them and would they please remove my name.  Any advice you can offer would be gratefully received. All the best Haydn

Hi Haydn - Can you post the IMDb link to the DVD Extra listing, this title sounds like it may not be eligible to be listed on the site?  We will allow title listings for special featurettes like "The Making of...", but we wouldn't allow a title listing for an interview, For the Music Video title, if the video is available online you can post a link to the video showing there are no on-screen credits, additionally if you have other reputable online sourced confirming the director, this would also be helpful in verifying the credit update you are requesting. I hope this helps!

Hello  @Michelle , Thanks for your reply.  Here are the links for the problem entries. You will find them on the Haydn Keenan page under Producer.  I don’t know who put them up but they are solely DVD extras for the film BACKROADS.  I conducted two of the interviews; the other three entries I had nothing whatsoever to do with. They are not what I understand is eligible for IMDB.  Or should be eligible anyway.  They are certainly not ‘making of..’ type pieces, they are interviews solely for use as dvd extras.  On IMBD I have been credited as producer and production manager on all five of them!  Why - I have no idea.  I would like to have my name removed from all the links where I'm get a production management credit. And certainly on the first three links at least to have the producer credit removed.  Frankly I think the lot should be deleted as they are not what IMDB is about. The entries listed below are all DVD “extras”. Four of the five are just interviews for the dvd.  They aren't even “making of” type films.Backroads: Scene Comparison - HD vs Original Version of Film Comparison This is just two pieces of film running side buy side to show the difference between standard  definition and HDhttps://www.imdb.com/title/tt14973194/?ref_=nm_flmg_prd_7Backroads: Director Phillip Noyce talks to Gary Foley https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14970702/?ref_=nm_flmg_prd_3Backroads: Paddy McGuinness Review Read by Gary Foley This is simply a review being red by the actorhttps://www.imdb.com/title/tt14973232/?ref_=nm_flmg_prd_6Backroads: Interview with Sound Recordist Lloyd Carrick https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14973588/?ref_=nm_flmg_prd_5Backroads: Interview with Actor Gary Foley https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14973092/?ref_=nm_flmg_prd_4-------------------------------In relation to the music video MADE MY DAY, here’s a link to the online version.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DwerC0DbugAs you will see there are no end credits.  I have spoken to the John Meagher who is credited as director with me and he knows nothing about all this.  I don’t know if he is a member of IMDB. Would a statement from him be satisfactory? Thanks for your help on this messy business.Regards. Haydn KeenanSmart St Films Pty Ltd

Hi Haydn - I have now removed the ineligible titles for the DVD Extra features.  Concerning the music video credits, I can confirm that "John Meagher" is no longer credited as 'Director'. I hope this helps!
