unable to verify
I have asked for my own name to be removed from a film entry which I had nothing to do with. The request has been declined. what verification is satisfactory? IMDb tells me to go to: "Please go to your Contribution History, re-load the submission reference and tick the box “provide an explanation to assist in processing this submission” and “check these updates”. The field will become available in the submission form. However there is no "check these updates" only "RECHECK THESE UPDATES". I don't understand what field will become available in the submission for. There is no submission. button. just recheck or save for later. I'm confused. Haydn Keenan

Hi smartstreetfilms - If you are not seeing a "Submit these Updates" button within your submission form, this typically means that there is an unacknowledged Warning or missing required data field entry within your submission form that needs to be addressed before you can submit the update. If you are experiencing problems removing the credit, it's best to include evidence to help verify the change, such as screen grabs from the original title on-screen credits to show that your name is not credited on-screen, or an official website of the production showing a different person performing the role, etc. Once you resubmit the credit removal request with the additional evidence our editors will take another look. I hope this helps!

Thanks for this Michelle. The two entries in question are a music video and a dvd extra neither of which have credit rolls at the end. What can you suggest in cases like that? Thanks again for your helpful comments above. Haydn

Hi Haydn - If the titles have no -onscreen credits, then the best evidence is to include a link to the music video to help verify that you are not credited on-screen and that your role is not featured on the video. For the DVD Extra, to clarify, are you referring to work listed for a "The Making of..." or are you referring to a credit listing on a film title under the role "DVD Extra"?

Hi Haydn - Can you post the IMDb link to the DVD Extra listing, this title sounds like it may not be eligible to be listed on the site? We will allow title listings for special featurettes like "The Making of...", but we wouldn't allow a title listing for an interview, For the Music Video title, if the video is available online you can post a link to the video showing there are no on-screen credits, additionally if you have other reputable online sourced confirming the director, this would also be helpful in verifying the credit update you are requesting. I hope this helps!

Hi Haydn - I have now removed the ineligible titles for the DVD Extra features. Concerning the music video credits, I can confirm that "John Meagher" is no longer credited as 'Director'. I hope this helps!
