Unable to see my review I submitted yesterday. Are other users facing this problem too?
Hi,
Occasionally, I like to review movies or series that I have watched on my favourite movie database - IMDb.
I wrote and submitted my review of the true crime Netflix documentary Crime Scene Berlin : Nightlife Killer, after I'd watched it. I spent some time on it writing about the good and the bits about the content that can be improved. Obviously I didn't save it elsewhere, simply followed protocol and submitted my review.
I am a bit puzzled that I'm unable to see the review. In fact, it reminded me that my last one or more reviews weren't posted either, I believe. I couldn't find a timeline for when a review goes up on IMDb (to know what was going on), so I decided to seek clarification and arrived here from the Help page.
Is there a valid reason for reviews not showing up, do I just need to wait longer? Or is normal practice to lose reviews submitted by IMDb members?
NB: Just to clarify, the username of my IMDb account in relation to the query above is flowerpetal-06659.
It's weird that despite having an IMDb account, I was forced to sign up and create a new (second) account here, just so that I could post this question / receive help on the IMDb Community page - both websites are IMDb!

Hi @flowerpetal_06659,
Thank you for your problem report.
Firstly, I can confirm the review you have referenced was declined as it contained a mention of another user/and or their review, which is in breach of our guidelines. Therefore, I encourage you to re-submit an edited version of this review, and post the 18-digit submission reference in this thread when submitted, so we can monitor your re-submission through processing for you.
To do this - and I hope this also solves another of the issues in this thread - you can find and copy the original content of your review(s) in your Contribution History (beta). This beta version supports the data types such as user reviews not currently included in the Contribution History page.
Additionally, you can find more information on processing times in our Help article, which also links to a guide to our processing times per data type.
Regarding your NB, a separate account is required for the IMDb community site, as it is powered by Sprinklr and not IMDb directly. Please see this Help article for more information.
I hope this helps, please let us know if we can provide further assistance!
