Two Japanese films seem to be merged into one

There are two films made by Toei Company and directed by Takashi Harada. The first is Wicked Priest 2: Ballad of Murder (Gokuaku bôzu: hitokiri kazoe uta) with a script by Akira Murao and released in 1968.. The second is Ballad of Death (Hitokiri kannon uta) with a script by Kôji Takada and released in 1970. These seem to have been merged in IMDb into tt0164613 which is neither one nor the other.

I am by no means an expect on this but I think I have the facts right. Can someone please split this entry into two and then hopefully the details will get filled in by those more knowledgeable than me.

There is other information. As I said the screenwriter is different for each film. The 1968 title is the second title in the Wicked Priest (Gokuaku bôzu) series, this has long been unavailabe in any English friendly version but I have just bought a copy with English subtitles from SamuraiDVD (http://www.japanesesamuraidvd.com/.sc/ms/dd/ee/1135/Wicked%20Priest%20%232%3A%20Ballad%20of%20Murder%20-%201968%20Remastered) . The 1970 titie is a related title where the secondary character from the Wicked Priest series gets his own film. It is also available from SamuraiDVD (http://www.japanesesamuraidvd.com/.sc/ms/dd/ee/1081/Ballad%20of%20Murder%20-%20WhipMaster%20-%201970%20Remastered). i have both of these on DVD and can state that they are two different movies but I can't read Japanese so I can't help much with the credits of each.

Thanks Des, however the current title has Akira attributed as screenwriter and Murao is not associated with the title on IMDb. Can you let us know what information on the IMDb page belongs to Ballad of Death (Hitokiri kannon uta) and should be moved? Besides the release date?

Oops. i was sure that the 1970 film had the 1968 screenwriter when I looked at it yesterday. The 1968 film didn't exist at all. But I was just now checking that and I found two records, tt0164613 and tt0164647. So it looks as if the only error is the release date of the first title. I checked so carefully as well but I was searching for tte English title and I guess I made a mistake. Sorry about that.
