Two event pages for the same CCIFF event to merge into one; and update the web page
Hello, I have discovered for our festival, we have two event entries:
- https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0006043 -- the main one we used to update
- https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0010329 -- secondary one that appeared some time in between
They have non-overlapping years of the festival.
(1) I'd like to request to keep ev0006043 as this is what we linked to in the
past previously and merge ev0010329 into ev0006043. (2) If possible,
also please create a redirect page from ev0010329 to ev0006043
to avoid any broken links. (3) please add the (CCIFF) acronym to the title of ev0006043.
(4) Also the first one lists /2018's event page in the festival's URL under "See Also";
could you please just keep https://cciff.ca as a general URL
and not a specific year?
I've found no way of doing any of it myself from my edit screens.

Thanks for reporting the duplicate event listings on the site, I have now filed a ticket to the appropriate team to combine them and it should be reviewed shortly.
I have also updated the existing event URL as requested.

Hello, (1)-(3) still need doing, just a reminder. Our 7th edition is upcoming as well. Thank you @Michelle for looking into it.

My sincere apologies for the delayed reply and an updated information on this issue. We are working through a backlog of threads.
I can confirm that the duplicated page with all of its information has been moved to the requested main page for the Canada China International Film Festival (ev0006043). Also, the (CCIFF) acronym has been added to the event name and under 'See Also' the https://cciff.ca is the general URL for the whole event. All these changes are already live on the site.
If you happen to see that the duplicated event is still listed on the 'All Events' page, even though the page has been deleted, work is in progress by the respective team to remove these links.
