TV Episode Number without Season Number

I'm currently entering episodes for a season, so I know the chronological order the enter them, but I do not know the season number. Technically, there is not an "official" season number. How do I enter this information? I thought about entering the episodes based on the year, like "2023.1, 2023.2, 2023.3, etc." At the moment none of the episodes are listed chronologically by the date they aired. Instead they are listed alphabetically, and I would like to fix this.
