Solved

Trying to add credit that keeps getting declined, even with uploaded evidence.

Can someone please help me out? I have been trying to add a credit for a project I worked on in 2019 and have been declined multiple times. I have uploaded a call sheet that shows my name as proof of my employment / job title on the show and am not sure what other evidence I can provide. Can someone please assist me? Case #240809-213824-192000. Many thanks!

Hello laurentuck5,

This is a Top rank title and you are adding yourself as credited, therefore you will need to attach an onscreen end credits screen grab in order to verify the name shows in the credits.

Feel free to re submit when you can and make sure to add the screenshot, if you are not credited you will need to re submit and add the "uncredited" attribute.

@Fran Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I'm not clear what you mean by "Top rank title" as it's an additional photography title/role that I've added for other previous projects with no issue. Can you please elaborate for me? Thanks!

We mean that "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022) is a known movie, therefore usually the Cast and Crew might be already added and completed. If your name is missing you can re submit with valid evidence, which in this case is a screenshot from the onscreen end credits with your name on it.

@Fran Oh I understand. I believe I tried adding it when I was working on it at the time and have only noticed recently that it wasn't on my page. Sometimes, Additional Photography credits do not make it on the end titles I'm afraid. Do you accept anything other than a screenshot of the name in the credits? Again, as I stated, I have copies of the call sheets that include my name as proof that I was the TC during that period, which according to the IMDb's site, should be sufficient as it gives a CS as an example of evidence to upload I believe, correct?

Here it says if your name is not listed in the credits, to submit call sheet, etc. which I've done but has still been denied, and I'm unsure why as it's listed as valid form of evidence.

Thank you again for your help.

In that case you can submit the credit as "uncredited", you have to add the attribute, also you still need to add the evidence for the submission for us to verify for you. You can find instruction and help in our Help Articles

Why does it need to be listed as "uncredited" when it is a genuine credit to my name and resume? Many IMDb credits are added to people's profiles prior to the release of the films or TV shows they work on, which is the only way to see the end credits. I would like it to be a proper credit in line with my other work as I have the required proof, per IMDb, to add to my page. Is there a way to talk to someone about this on the phone perhaps?

I am afraid, we do not have a phone support. The reason why your credit has to be submitted as "uncredited" is that IMDb lists credits as they show on screen. We list what is in the original onscreen end credits, since you mentioned the credit does not show in the onscreen credits, it can not be listed without the "uncredited".

You are free to submit anytime with the correct attributes. You can find instruction and help in our Help Articles
