Trying to add an award.

I'm trying to add an award for an event that's not listed in the IMDB events list. This event is only two years old and IMDB says it can only add events older than 5 years. Is there any way I can still add the event/award?

Juan: An award event that is less than 5 years old may be considered for listing, but you will probably need to find more press coverage of the event than you might for a more established event. This is stated at https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/other-submission-guides/events/G9DXDPWT2TWSXP8U#:

If the Event does not meet the above criteria, we will consider Events if they have generated a considerable amount of public interest.

You can submit the event by clicking to send an e-mail at https://help.imdb.com/contact?deepLink=new_event&disableLoginPopup=true.

That will take you to an e-mail form where you will be expected to provide the following information:

  • Name of event:
  • Location:
  • Year Event Launched:
  • Main Topic of Event (Movie/TV/Video Game/Other):
  • Official Website of Event:
  • Event Press Coverage Link:
  • Additional Link 1:
  • Additional Link 2:
  • Method of Choosing Award Nominees/Winners (please include information about the jury here if applicable):
  • Supplementary Information:

Try to provide three or more separate sources of press coverage to prove that the event is considered to have public interest.

Good luck!
