Trouble correcting a name.

There was an editor that had two pages, his first known credit in 2013 had his name spelt wrong so his page was created with that 1 letter spelling mistake, at some point a new one was made with his name spelled right which accumulated the last 10 years of credits, at some point recently these pages were merged but instead of the newer, fuller, correct page taking precedence there, the wrongly spelled page with two credits was given all the other credits with attributes added, I tried correcting this with links to his professional pages to prove which spelling was right but it won't go through, can you have a look.

Outcome: Name should be changed and only the 2013 credit should have an attribute, I tracked that down and confirmed his name was wrongly spelled that way onscreen.

Thank you.

Hi @VonPunk -

In this case the name page is claimed by the owner so only he can change it, you can definitely add an attribute to the other credits showing how he was credited on-screen.

Cheers!

@Bethanny Ah that'll explain it, there's no sign at all it's a claimed page so it did seem odd. Probably did the merge himself and it went wrong, as happens. But yeah, there is an attribute on all but one credit with his correct name, but I think I'll move the online editor credits in the additional crew section to editorial department to make it fully guideline accurate and leave the name for him to do whatever he wants with.

Cheers for the quick helpful response.
