Title submission rejected...

... I haven't had this before. I've been adding a few experimental shorts to the system as they were all featured in a Channel 4 series which screened them (Which also didn't exist on the site until last week) "Midnight Underground".

Anyway, this one is only a minute long, so hardly the most influential work, but it was rejected as "Badly Formatted". I was confused, as I've never had a title creation rejected before:

Hi MovieCat-

Thank you for posting the submission reference number!

Further reviewing your submission, I can see we have this series live on the site: "Midnight Underground" (1993-1997). In order for us to understand further, do you happen to know if this title was part of this series? or if it was released as a standalone?

Cheers!

@Maya At this stage I believe it may have only been screened as part of the series, though may also have had repeats and festival screenings, etc.

To clarify the series, it's essentially an "umbrella title" to show shorts on Channel 4, some of them decades old. Normally it wouldn't qualify as a series in its own right, but it has "bookend" introductions, so original content in that respect.

Hi @MovieCat -

If the title was first screened under the "Midnight Underground" umbrella series, then it should be listed as an episode of that series, as opposed to a standalone film title.  If the title was later screened independently at festivals, these details can then be referenced on the episode page.

I would encourage you to resubmit the title as an episode and our staff will take another look.

@Michelle Hi Michelle, it wasn't an episode in and of itself, each episode of Midnight Underground featured 3-6 shorts.

While this one was contemporary, some of them featured shorts from the 1920s. As an example: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35017588/movieconnections/?ref_=tttr_ql_trv_6

The actual episode in question features shorts ranging from 1964-1993: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35017474/movieconnections/?ref_=tttr_ql_trv_6
