Title in the Upcoming section

I'm having the same issue with this page -

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1203431/?ref_=ra_gb_ln

- Not only is an old project now appearing in the 'Upcoming' section, but also...

- the most recent film is not at the top as it should be. It is an old 2015 film in which she was Editor - but her current role in film has been Director for years now.

Can you help me in correcting this?

Hi @Acy,

Thank you for your problem report.

The title is listed in the upcoming section as it is yet to have a release date added to the title page. Once a release date is added, it should appear amongst the rest of the titles on the name page. You can find guidance on how to submit a release date in our help guide.

Please can you clarify what the issue is when you say: "the most recent film is not at the top as it should be. It is an old 2015 film in which she was Editor - but her current role in film has been Director for years now." - please provide us with the name of the title you are referring to and where there is an error in the name page's crew credits?

Thanks!

Hi Ozzy, thanks for your quick response!

To clarify the issue: "the most recent film is not at the top as it should be...."

Generally it seems the IMDB page is outdated.

- When searching kala mandrake, it comes up as "Editor"

- When going to the page it also displays all "Editor" movies first ("at the top of the list of Film Credits/Roles) -  https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1203431/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

For example, the first movie title which is displayed at the top of the list is "The Brainwashing of My Dad" (2015) as Editor.

The first (top) movie title should actually be The Real Antony Fauci (2022) as Director. (There are a list of other Director credits as well)

Also - since her current role in film is no longer Editor and is now Director, can this be reflected is both the "IMDB Search" as well as the list of movies that are displayed first?

Let me know if I answered your questions clearly, and thank you so much!

Sorry, just to clarify, Ozzy:

I said the first that comes up is The Brainwashing of My Dad but it is actually "American Morning"  (2021) that comes up first.

 - The issue is that the list of EDITOR credits come up first, instead of the list of DIRECTOR credits coming up first (at the top).

The most recent film is not "American Morning" It is the real antony fauci (2022)

Thanks!

@Acy Hi!

The credits for editor are showing first since it's the section with most credits.

Thanks!

Thanks Bethanny, but IMDB states that it shows the MOST RECENT.  Can we adjust that to reflect IMDB's policy? It makes sense that the 2022 film needs to be at the top of the list.

Thanks so much!

Hi @Acy,

Name page credits are listed by the department that features the highest amount of credits, this is the standard structure as per our guidelines for name pages, and why the name page in question features the "Editor" credits at the top of the credits section. This is also why the name is listed as an Editor first in their "Known for" credits and roles below the name page header.

You can however, restructure the profession order by following the guidance in our help guide. Please note that this feature requires an IMDbPro Premium subscription.

I hope this helps!
