There is a scammer with a fake IMDB profile on here (Steven Price)

Hi All,

There is a man on here, Steven Price, https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2665015/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3, who has made a fake profile claiming to have worked as a casting producer and executive producer on shows he has never worked on. I just had his LinkedIn profile taken down where he was also listing fake jobs he never held. He is scamming people by pretending to be a casting agent, publicist, and producer. He just scammed someone of $4,000 by promising her a gig on a Tyler Perry show and stating he was in charge of booking the flights and hotels for all cast.

Since he has an IMDB profile and had a LinkedIn profile with legitimate connections and a long ass resume, he got away with the scam. There are about fifty people in a Facebook group trying to find him so they can serve him court papers. He has declared bankruptcy multiple times and it looks like he moves around alot after he declares bankruptcy. He has lied and said he was an executive producer on Dancing With The Stars when he was merely a receptionist.

See: http://stevenpricecon.com/

I would like to see him removed from IMDB since I'm 100% certain those credentials are all fake.

Can anyone help with this?

Can you provide more evidence that these credentials are fake?  Any evidence, such as screenshots of the credits from the titles in question, direct statements from the filmmakers, etc. would be helpful.

For example, you say he was "merely a receptionist" for Dancing with the Stars and that he claims to have been "an executive producer." He is listed on IMDb as a "producer," "story producer," and "story assistant" for various episodes of that show. What evidence do you have to prove that he was only a receptionist?

IMDb staff might be able to track whether every single one of his credits came from his IMDb account(s). That would be a big red flag if everything is coming from him and not from any other legitimate source.

Here is his full credits list on IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2665015/fullcredits/

@keyword_expert would you happen to know how I can contact IMDB once I have the proof?

If you would like it all to be public, you can simply post your evidence in this thread.

If you would like to to be more private, you can submit the evidence as "contributions" to correct the false info on IMDb. But that approach will be painstakingly slow given the sheer number of credits assigned to his name.

Here is a help guide for the latter approach.

Thank you for the full credits! I’m actually in the process of trying to get the legal dept to verify the Dancing With The Stars credential. I always thought IMDB pulled from actual credits then I realized you can input them yourself. It will take some time to get confirmation but I’m working on it. I’m just hoping to stop him from scamming again. We filed a police report but he uses fake addresses. His most recent scam he used the Dancing With The Stars studio address to book the hotel, before he canceled the reservations. He’s using it as his current job title as well.

Is this a real movie?

Damn Good Black Men (2021)

The listing says he directed it, but I can't find any evidence it was actually released.

Have you tried reaching out to the other people listed as starring in or connected to this film to see what they know about it (or about him)?

Here is a photo of him at the Dangerman 2017 Hero Awards, so this item on his filmography may in fact be accurate.

Since he is a real person who has his real photo on IMDb and may have some real credits, I can tell you from experience you are not going to be able to get his entire IMDb name page taken down. However, you may be able to get some or most of his credits removed if you can prove they are fake.

Thank you for the help! My understanding is he sells tickets to these types of events and I’ve seen him post it on LinkedIn. It doesn’t mean he actually worked on those shows/films. His ex wife in the photo helps him with the scamming. I’m not using my real name here but I’m a public figure. After I appeared on a TV segment he began reaching out to my connections claiming to be affiliated with me; saying he was my publicist and working on a show with me. Meanwhile, I had been blowing him off for months because all of my pr is organic. I’m not going to rest until he is caught or I can at least expose him enough that it’s visible on the Internet he is a scammer. We have a police report and from his background checks, he never worked in these positions. There is no history of employment. Thank you again for your help. I’m going to post on LinkedIn and tag IMDB. I have a very large following on these.

This guy stayed at our hotel in Vegas. Ordered hundreds of dollars worth of food and drinks and charged back everything. His card on file declined repeatedly for his room and he ended up fraudulently reporting it to his bank.

Hi @gde -

Thanks for your report, several credits have been removed from the page.  If there are any remaining credits that you are certain are incorrect, you will need to request the removal of the credits through our online Update form and our editors will review them further.
