theme music composer

Hello imdB-crowd!

1. What in detail is a "composer: additional music" which could be added in the "music department" field?

2. I composed the piano theme and variations for a TV show which is used on-screen (actors are playing the theme in variations on the piano) in every episode. I am not the composer of the main score. How would you add my credit for the show in imdB?

Best regards

Hi,

If you are credited on screen, you should try to follow the screen credit. But something like "composer: piano theme" in the Music Department sounds right. You can add this through the series page and select the episodes to add it to.

If you are not credited on screen, include "uncredited" in the attribute field.

That's a great advice. Thank you, Peter!

Still I don't know what literally "composer: theme music" means.

It just means a composer of theme music in the film/series (or additional music or whatever the description is). The credit may also be "additional composer" or similar.

If the piece has a title it is usually added to the Soundtracks page instead.
