The TV Series Poster Image preferences?
The IMDb Title Poster images have several criteria for TV series. The following is what comes straight from the IMDb Title Poster image criteria—
The most iconic and widely-recognized poster, preferably from the original airing of the first season. The poster should be of the best image quality. English language posters are preferred if available, although we may exercise editorial discretion to override this in some special cases.
So I was wondering.. Which one of those takes precedence? If you have the most iconic and widely-recognized poster from the original airing of the first season but it isn't in English, would it be preferable to a less iconic and recognizeable poster that may not be from the first season but that is in English?

Often the production company/distributor updates the ”newest” poster from the latest season. So I’m not sure does the word ”iconic” or ”most popular” apply with TV series.
You probably don’t see (e.g.) this in any time soon:

Hi Troy -
As per the guidelines you stated above, our preference is that the primary image be that of the most widely-recognized poster from the original airing of the first season as opposed to a less iconic and recognizable poster in the English language. However, if the same poster is available in the English language then our preference would be to use this poster version as the primary for the series.
I hope this helps.
